Our Story
At the turn of the 20th century, a merchant family in Beirut gathered to discuss the future of their textile business. They had heard of exceptional cotton fabrics arriving from the Far East, yet little was known about their origins or how to obtain them. Driven by curiosity and an entrepreneurial spirit, they embarked on a journey into unfamiliar markets, embracing every challenge along the way.
That journey brought them to Kobe, Japan, in 1917. There, they discovered the fabrics they had been seeking and established a textile trading business, exporting Japanese textiles to their family companies in Beirut, Manchester, and Lagos before expanding into markets around the world.
From these humble beginnings, Debs Corporation was born. What started as a single trading business became the foundation of a global enterprise, creating lasting connections between Japan, Asia, and international markets.
Over more than a century, Debs Corporation has evolved into a globally recognized Japanese textile company. Building on this foundation, the company has expanded into Healthcare, Food, Digital Solutions, and Real Estate, reflecting its vision of becoming a global Textiles & Lifestyle Solutions company.
Today, while remaining true to the entrepreneurial spirit that inspired its founding more than a century ago, Debs Corporation continues to create new value through innovation, trusted partnerships, and products and services that connect people, industries, and markets around the world.

Since the Debs family first arrived in Japan in 1917, our mission has remained unchanged: to connect Japan with the world through innovation, trust, and the creation of lasting value. Over more than a century, we have been privileged to build enduring relationships with our customers, business partners, and employees, and I am deeply grateful for the trust they continue to place in us.
